Food Safety Training

Ensure your staff get food safety right

We offer food safety courses for people employed in the food business. We provide basic Food Safety training and assessment courses which enable food handlers to practice basic food safety and produce safer food. The courses are based on the theory in NZQA unit standards 167 and 20666.

Food Safety Course Details

Entry requirement: Sufficient English to complete assessment in writing or orally

Course Content:

  • Current food legislation
  • Personal hygiene
  • Food handling and storage
  • Temperature control
  • Food poisoning
  • Cleaning methods and equipment
  • Pests and pest control
